Shannon Haroutunian
Shannon Haroutunian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has knowledge and passion for helping others. Shannon studied at Pepperdine University where she received a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology and is a licensed psychotherapist through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (MFC#52033). Shannon works with a variety of individuals and families providing individual therapy, couples therapy, as well as family therapy.
Shannon's professional experience includes a variety of settings ranging from universities, schools, inpatient hospitals, outpatient programs, residential treatment facilities, adolescent group homes, crisis centers, and detox units. Shannon has applicable clinical knowledge of mental disorders, family dynamics, and chemical dependency. She has advanced training in bereavement counseling and works with a wide array of grief and loss issues focusing on emotional completion of the experienced loss. Shannon specializes in incorporating evidence based Dialectical Behavioral Therapy into treatment, trained by leading professionals in in the DBT arena. Shannon is currently an adjunct faculty member at Pepperdine University teaching graduate students in Clinical Practicum and theory application |
